Jack Wallace Tyndall, 84 of Phenix City, AL died Thursday May 22, 2014 at the Midtown Medical Center. Funeral services with military honors will be held 1:00 P.M. EST in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL with burial to follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Tyndall was born November 7, 1929 on Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. He is the son of the late Avery B. and Mary Jones Tyndall. He served his country in U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, was a lifetime member of the V.F.W., American Legion and the D.A.V. He attended Power of Praise Assembly of God Church in Phenix City.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mattie Julene Cooper Tyndall of Phenix City, AL; three daughters, Audrey Tyndall Woods and husband Thomas of Columbus, GA, Sharon Tyndall Horton and husband Randy of Seale, AL, Deborah Guthrie Greer and husband Mike of Seale, AL, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces,and nephews.
