James William Givens

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Lakeview Memory Gardens 3800 US-431, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 US-431, Phenix City, Alabama 36868.

Mr. Givens was born on June 23, 1945 in Dothan, Alabama. He was the son of the late William Anderson Givens and Myrtle Peterson Givens. He retired from MeadWestvaco in Cottonton, Alabama after working for 47 years. He was a christian man of faith who loved the Lord with all of his heart and lived his life through him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Judith Ann Givens; son, James William Givens II (Carol); daughters, Elizabeth Dawn Gaona (Frank) and Brandi Leigh Brown; sons, Robert Anderson Givens, Gary Scott Holt (LaRhonda), and Randy Joe Holt; fifteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
