A visitation for family and friends for Joseph will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. A celebration of life funeral service will occur Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. A burial with Navy Military Honors will follow Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867.
Mr. Palmer was born in Abbeville, Alabama; son of the late Barney and Vida Davis Palmer. He was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Navy. He was retired from Rusco Plumbing Company.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Sue Vickers Palmer.
Survivors include his daughter, Staci Shores and husband, Jeffrey, son, Christopher Palmer and wife, Ana; four sisters, Brenda Whitehead, Faye Morris, Gloria Smith, Anna Williams, brother, Lamar Palmer along with his grandchildren, Preston Palmer, Raven Shores, Zowie Shores, Chloe Shores and two great grandchildren, Paisley Kyle and Delilah Shores as well as many nieces and nephews.
