Larry Dan Grimes, 75 of Phenix City, Alabama died Sunday April 5, 2015 at his home. A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday April 10, 2015 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL with Pastor Steve Pace officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Grimes was born January 19, 1940 in Columbus, Georgia; son of the late Rufus S. and Elma Lee Dasinger Grimes. He was retired from Toms Foods with more than 36 years of service and served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
Survivors include his daughter, Alisa Dawn Grimes Newsome and husband, Jason, granddaughter, Shelby Mae Newsome, sisters, Joan Parish, Janice McInnis, brothers, Jack Grimes, Royce Grimes, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
