

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Phenix City, with the Rev. Udell Addison and the Rev. Jack Wallace officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Faircoth was born September 25, 1925, in Louisville, Ala., son of John Thomas Faircloth and Willie Renfroe Faircloth. He retired from Fieldcrest Mills after 37 years, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a Christian and charter member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Phenix City, Ala.
Pallbearers will be Tom Shoffeitt, Gary Mitchell, Mark Papenfuss, Joe Lingo, Raymond Wetzel and Robert Manville
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Clara Paul Faircloth; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Edward and Lisa Faircloth and Lavon and Marlene Faircloth, of Smiths, Ala; and a daughter, Jenny Faircloth Chandler of Phenix City; grandchildren: Mandy Owens and husband Shane, Amy Adams and husband Lee, Matt Chandler and wife Brooke, and Corey Chandler; great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Luke Owens, Tinsley Adams, and Derek and Olivia Chandler; a sister Shelby Jean Starnes of Columbus; two sister-in-laws: Maudie Hagler of Crawford, Ala., and Mary Faircloth of Skipperville, Ala; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Faircloth was preceded in death by brothers J.T., Delmer and Bernard Faircloth; and sisters Annie Mae Tew, Leona Riley, Izell Hovey, Willie Lou Hovey, Mary Paul and Mavis Williamson.
