Lorena Frances Ivey

A graveside service for Lorena will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, AL 36867.

Mrs. Ivey was born June 17, 1932 in Phenix City, Alabama; daughter of the late John W. Jones and Elizabeth Inez Carlisle. She was retired from the Lee County School System after 27 years as a bus driver. She was also a member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Opelika, AL and a member of the Phenix City Shrine Club Shrinettes.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Clinton Ivey, son, Walter C. Ivey and his wife Cheryl Ivey and her brothers, Elra Jones and James Jones.

Survivors include her son, John Stephen Ivey and wife Gina, grandchildren, Aubrey Ivey Dean and husband, Clay, John Stephen Ivey and wife, Laura and Shannon Ivey along with three great grandchildren, Jack Ivey, James Ivey, Cooper, sister-in-law, Pepi Jones and several nieces.

Mrs. Ivey will be remembered as a loving mother and granny who was very dedicated to showing her love and always giving gifts to her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
