Mrs. Lula Pearl Ward, 75 of Pittsview, Alabama, went to be with the Lord Friday December 17, 2010. Funeral services will be held 11:00am EST Tuesday December 21st at the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 N, Phenix City, AL. with the Reverend Randy Heartly of Troy, AL. officiating. Interment will be in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5pm until 7pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ward was born January 1, 1935 in Pike County, AL. daughter of the late I.J. Heartly and Selma Boutwell Heartly. She was of the Assembly of God faith and was a loving wife to Jesse Lee Ward, Jr. for 47 years. Mrs. Ward had four sisters, Louise Whitehead, Evelyn Perkins, May Walker and Routhy Meeks, five brothers, Dewy, Louie, Ivy, and Pete Heartly and Faron Boutwell.
Mrs. Ward's children include Lula Mae Parker and husband Jimmy, Tammy Zhukov, Phyllis Miller and husband, Duane, Ivy Lee Ward and adopted daughter, Lisa Brown, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
