Margaret W. Clanton, 89 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Medical Center. Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. EST November 30, 2012 at Lakeview Memory Gardens, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00pm Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clanton was born November 5, 1923 in Geneva, Alabama, daughter of the late George and Annie B. Watson.
She was retired from Tom's Foods and was a member of Smiths Station Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie T. Clanton and siblings, Gene Watson and Madelyn Watson.
Survivors include her son, Bennie Ray Clanton of Phenix City, AL, her sister, Kitty Clark of California and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
