Columbus, GA- Marie Jacob, 78, of Columbus, GA passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Vista Care Hospice House. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Phenix City Chapel.
Mrs. Jacob was born January 26, 1933 in Detroit, MI daughter of the late Marvin Lee Barbee and Clara Hudson Barbee of Hope Mills, NC. Marie was raised and attended school in Hope Mills, NC, raised her family in West Chester, PA; Lived in Oahu, Hawaii for many years then relocated to Columbus, GA in 1985. She was a homemaker, realtor, and property manager.
Survivors include her sons, David Jacob of Valley, AL; Greg Jacob of St Cloud, FL; Jonathan Jacob of West Chester, PA; brother Frank (Buddy) Barbee, Fayetteville, NC; sisters Clara Seger, Merritt Island, FL; Lola Meager and husband Robert, South Padre Isle, TX; daughter-in-law Suzanna Jacob of Valley, AL, grand-daughter Caroline Jacob, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
