Marie "Peanut" Babb, 58 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Monday, February 24, 2020 at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, February 29, 2020 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL, with Pastor Mike Powell officiating. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Babb was the daughter of the late Roderick Evans and RoseMarie Lima Evans. She was born January 30, 1962 in Fort Jay Army Hospital located on Govenors Island which is part of the borough of Manhattan in New York City, New York.
Other than her mother, she is survived by her husband, Mark Babb, sons, Jacob Rumph (Kristle), Joshua Brakefield (Brandi), sisters, Joanne Cooper (Randy), Diane Karnes (Terry), Tina Whittamore (Nelson Casteel) and brother, Michael Evans (Cheryl); grandchildren, Jaxston, Kashston, Luke and Jack along with step-children, Michael Babb, Cody Babb, Trenton Babb and numerous nieces and nephews.
