Mary C. Billings, 78 of Phenix City, Alabama died Friday, January 13, 2012 at her home. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. EST in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431N, Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5pm until 7pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Billings was was born November 7, 1933 in Columbus, Georgia. She is the daughter of the late John L. and Eva Mae Bennett Chadwick. She was retired from the Alabama Department of Transportation and a member of Shepherd's Chapel Ministry. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Billings and sister, Juanita Weniger.
Survivors include her sons, David Harding and wife Peggy, Dannie Harding and wife Debbie all of Columbus, GA, Harold Billings, Jr. and wife Kathryn of Smiths Station, AL, brother, Oliver Richard Chadwick and wife Shirley of Florida, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
