Funeral services with U.S. Navy honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL.
Michael was born in Syracuse, NY, on August 15, 1960 to the late James Frederick Whitwell, Sr. and Judith Hamel Whitwell. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and was a Certified Electrician for Alexander Electric Company.
Survivors include his wife; Penny Whitwell, daughter; Stephanie Powell (Kevin Bailey) son; Jeramy Whitwell, brothers; James F. Whitwell, Jr. (Leisa- deceased), William Whitwell (Vickie), John Whitwell (Shellie), sisters; Kathleen Alfono (Paul), Kathy Cartonia (Joe), and Virginia Herold, grandchildren; Lee Powell, Matthew Powell, Michael Bailey and Killian Bailey and numerous nieces and nephews.
