Nathan Dekalb Saxon, Sr., 87 of Phenix City, AL died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at his home. Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 1, 20111 at 2:00 P.M. EST at Lakeview Memory Gardens, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Saxon was born, July 12, 1923 in Phenix City, AL, son of the late George R. and Lois Short Saxon. He was retired from the Eagle and Phenix Mill. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Denton Saxon, son, Jeffrey Wayne Saxon, daughter, Debra Saxon Amos Davis and granchild, Rebecca Estelle Amos.
Survivors include his son, Nathan Saxon, Jr. and wife Susan, grandson, Daniel Amos of Iowa, great grandchildren, Jacob Daniel Amos, Grace Rebecca Amos, Kendall Amos, step-grandchildren, Sean Nelson, Jason Nelson, Matthew Strong, Jennifer Jade Davis.
