
Pat (Patsy Ann) Barlow Owsley of Phenix City, Alabama died July 18, 2011 at Vista Care Hospice, Columbus, GA. She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Winfield Owsley, three daughters and sons-in-law, and four grandchildren: LeAnn and Kerry McCullars of Lanett, Alabama; Susie and Rodney Stanfield and children, Will and Grace, of Manhattan, Kansas; Karissa and Kevin Campbell and their children, Logan and Tyler, of Centerville, Tennessee.
Daughter of the late Walter and Grace Barlow, she was born April 7, 1940 in Big Spring, Texas. She is also survived by a brother, William (Bill) Barlow and his wife, Donna, of Colorado City, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Imogene Johnson and Lula Vee (Lou) Owsley, and a brother, James Walter Barlow.
A 1958 graduate of Abilene (Texas) High School, she had been a resident of Phenix City, Alabama since 1963. She was a retired church secretary, retired member of Columbus Baptist Association Church Secretaries Organization, Georgia Baptist Church Secretaries, and National Association of Southern Baptist Secretaries. She was an active member of Hilton Terrace Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia.
A celebration of faith service will be held at Hilton Terrace Baptist Church on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Burnett and Rev. Sean Heggood officiating. Burial will be at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. Visitation will be held for family and friends at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in Phenix City from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2011.
Memorial donations may be made to Hilton Terrace Baptist Church, 2236 Warm Springs Rd, Columbus, GA 31904. The family also encourages support of the American Cancer Society by participating in your local Relay for Life Team.
