Ralph Lane Horne

Reverend Ralph Lane Horne, 55 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm EST Monday, February 10, 2014 at Lakewood Baptist Church with Rev. M.R. Hamilton and Rev. Mark Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm Monday at the church prior to the service.

Mr. Horne was born June 4, 1958 in Columbus, Georgia. He is the son of the late Walter C. Horne, Jr. and Nina Skinner Horne. He attended local schools and graduated from Columbus State University in 1981. He later received his Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1998. He is the former pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Midland, Georgia. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, James Elton Head and sister-in-law, Carla Head Sanders.

Survivors include his wife, Marcy Head Horne of Phenix City, AL, brother, George H. Horne of Columbus, GA, sisters, Melanie Horne Bowser of Tulsa, OK, Holly Horne Wilson (Derek) of Montgomery, AL, nephews, Dustin C. Wilson (Whitney) of Pike Road, AL, Dylan Scott Wilson and Davis Skinner Wilson both of Montgomery, AL, James Sanders of Columbus, GA, great nephew, Colt Walter Wilson of Pike Road, AL, aunts, Ellen Skinner of Macon, GA, Ann Horne of Phenix City, AL, uncles Harry H. Horne of Columbus, GA, John Earl Horne of Phenix City, AL, mother-in-law, Sandra Head of Phenix City, AL
