Ronald Charles Bean, 65 of Smiths Station, Alabama died Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Columbus Hospice House. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Bean was born May 27, 1949 in Wausau, Wisconsin; son of the late William N. and Lylas Laessig Bean. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the V.F.W. in Marshfield, WI. He was currently employed at the Red Oak Golf Club in Cusseta, GA. Survivors include his wife, Tonya Sawyer Bean of Smiths Station, AL, three children, Ronni Jane Bean (Tony) Guy Wayne Bean (Sandy) all of Merrill, WI, Amanda Bean of Smiths Station, AL, brothers, David Bean (Linda), Mike Bean (Holly), Pat Bean (Coleen) all of Stratford, WI, nine grandchildren, four great grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
