

She was born in Hartshorne, Oklahoma, and graduated valedictorian from Hartshorne High School, where she excelled at typing and shorthand. Unaware she had received a college scholarship, she moved to Oklahoma City and found employment providing administrative support in an office.
It was in Oklahoma City that Theresa met her husband of 68 years, Charles P. Harrison, Jr., on a blind date. She was a constant source of love, support, and encouragement to her husband throughout his educational journey, professional career, and retirement. During their marriage, they lived in Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, and Georgia. They loved to travel, taking over 40 cruises and visiting several European countries.
Theresa was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of a life well-lived, exemplified by her faith in God, a spirit of generosity, and an unconditional love for her beloved family.
She is survived by her son, Charles (Rose) Harrison, Ph.D., and daughter Diana (Ron) Durie, four grandchildren, Kristin Harrison, DMD, Kathryn Harrison, DMD, (Byron Farnum, Ph.D.), Chelsie (Danny) Durie Vlahiotis, and Ron Durie Jr., DMD, (Marian, PT, DPT), and three great-granddaughters, Olivia, Adeline, and Miles. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Harrison, Jr., her parents, John and Lucille Slotta, and her brothers, Johnny and Paul.
The family will hold a private celebration of life. In accordance with her wishes, her ashes will be entombed with her husband’s in a bench monument at Green Lawn Cemetery and Mausoleum in Roswell, Georgia.
