Thomas V. Weathers

Thomas V. Weathers, 77, of Phenix City, Alabama, died Wednesday December 28, 2011 in Phenix City. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm EST Tuesday January 3rd in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 N, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867, with the Reverends Brad McDaniel and Ralph Gilllian officiating. Interment will be in Ladonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Weathers was born November 4, 1934 in Pearson, Georgia, son of the late Edward Weathers and Lessie Guthrie Weathers. He retired from the Lithochrome company of Columbus after more than 32 years of service and was later employed by Columbus Tech as a printing instructor. Other than his parents Mr. Weathers is preceded in death by his first wife,Doris Tillery Weathers,son, Thomas Steve Weathers, brother, Charles Edward Weathers, sisters, Sarah Velez and Mary Jane Parmer.

Survivors include his wife of more than 29 years, Ruby Weathers , daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and David Henderson, Linda and Don Hamby, Jan and Randall Cole, sons and daughter-in-law, Charles and Judith Weathers, Dennis Weathers and stepson ,Jason Starling, stepdaughters and their husbands, Reba and Gus Wadham, Beth and Chad Lowry, Samantha and Jimmy Ball, sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Lawrence Shiver, Linda and Carl McMullen, 23 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
