Paul and I have been fortunate in our marriage to have met many wonderful people, yet Alan clearly, SPECIAL ! … Family, really in our cherished 13+ years.  In my heart, he will always remain a man of passion & sincere character, sheer integrity always radiating from every meet. His amazing soul touching us all, we are blessed! .. We are  better humans for having him.  I tear when I reflect back on our countless beloved conversations, always more about life and loved ones versus our working jobs together in the industry he created. Stellar friend I am forever grateful for.. 
 
 Alan spoke of his entire family with such immense pride, everyone that he touched will feel the loss of him not here with us now, yet hold comfort of the struggle within his body that now .. is no more. He took the hand of our Lord for his eternal peace, our gift will be … to be together again with our creator, … as he calls us by name. Thanks be to God! 
 
 May the entire Dougherty family find comfort in leaning on each other. Many years back a note was shared with me during the loss of my dear Mom, to this day it brings me comfort, I am hopeful for the same, for all that read …

My dad was one of the greatest men I have known in my life. Though he wasn’t perfect, he was always there for us. He was a provider, a protector, and the life of the party. He always made sure everyone felt included and in high spirits.  He loved to make everyone laugh. From his whistle, to his silly faces - he never failed to turn a dull moment into a precious memory.

He took care of my mom, my sisters, and me. He made sure I had what I needed when times were hard. He ensured my sisters and his grandchildren never had to experience what it’s like to go without basic necessities. And he always made sure my mother was the center of his universe.

Thank you for everything, papa. Rest easy. Love you.

To know Alan was to know laughter, kindness, and unconditional love. He was the kind of person who truly listened. He remembered the little things that made others feel special. He enjoyed every moment of life and brought you along for the ride. He had a rare gift of making others feel important, understood, and loved, just by being himself. I have been lucky to call him my brother, but luckier to call him my Friend.

He was more than my brother. He was my closest friend, my confidant, the one who truly knew me. Life without him feels quieter, dimmer, and unspeakably lonelier. Although miles away, we spoke daily. He made time, no matter how busy he was or how many miles between us, we had an unbreakable bond. His absence has left a space in my world that nothing can fill. And though I ache for his presence, I find comfort in his beautiful family—in their warmth, their spirit, and the way his love lives on so clearly in them. His legacy is alive in every moment of kindness they carry forward.

We will always miss him, the sound of his laugh, the safety of his advice, and the joy he brought so effortlessly. I’m forever grateful for the time we had and will continue to honor him by trying to live in the moment and cherish it as he did.

My wife Alia and I are neighbors of Anrea and Alan.  I met Alan when he was walking their dog Pinky.  I immediately recognized his "Philly" accent (same place I grew up) and we started telling Philly jokes and reminiscing about coming from an Irish family in Philly.  Alan was a great guy, but more importantly a great husband and father.  When he wasn't kidding about Philly, he talked about Andrea and their family.  He loved his wife and kids.  He was so happy to go back to Philly last year, where he had the best time with their families.  Another great quality that Alan had was that he never talked behind people's backs.  If he thought you were wrong, he told you to your face, and that was that.   I will miss him, but he is now in the presence of God, and free of pain.  Here is a congratulations to Alan, and a life well lived!

Since the 1st day, I met him, he and his wife greeted us as if we had years knowing each other. We laughed and even threw in some sarcasm Philly style! 
He was always a big kid at heart, how can we ever forget him.... Noooo.... not at all.
I have the best memories of him and his wonderful family. So Blessed and so united. God be the comforter for Andrea and her children, and grandbaby. Words cannot express our 😥... He has earned his wings now, God has an Angel in heaven...... Rest in peaceful harmony Alan.

My dad.  Laughter and joy wrapped in one person. The heart and backbone of our family. You were always there to protect us, support us, and love us unconditionally.

This dance was so special to me because we shared something more than just a moment, we shared tears of laughter and sadness, and a wish that time could stand still. You wanted me to stay your little girl forever, and I wanted you to stay with me forever.

2015 Alan purchasing his blue truck from Paul … the vehicle I continuously, …  look for as I always was heading up or down the hill to clients or home.  Always a wave, glance in the rearview  mirror and almost always a quick phone call!  “ hey bud, i just passed you.” 💫😌  “ where ya headed” we’d say … 😢🙏🏼

Alan Libby, and  Rena visiting our home in 2021.  John Fontaine, Alan too … did a lovely redo and Alan  wanted to come by and see finished!  Joyfully they came to our ranch to visit critters.  😊 John Fontaine - Construction and Alan, obviously took good care of us on our casa,  then intern just this past year took care of my 92 year old  Dad, Richard and his wife Suzanne on their home in Rio Verde.  There  was never a part of Alan that didn’t have his entire self involved in his projects., … so many of our shared people treasure that exact trait, … his infectious personality ! 😊😔
