

Chloe Janet (Dirkx) Jacobsen, daughter of Joseph and Marcia Ardice( Beeman) Dirkx was born April 16, 1935, in Emmetsburg, Iowa. On Wednesday September 1,2021, Chloe passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family .
Chloe led an extraordinary life that impacted many. On December 2, 1952 Chloe married Delbert Jacobsen, and they had four sons and two daughters.
Chloe owned a seasonal store, The Farmhouse in Okoboji for several summers before moving to Arizona. She continued her business in Arizona for many years. In her later years, Chloe took up crocheting, donating her afghans and baby quilts to the Child Crisis Center. Chloe was an avid gardener, crafter, and quilter.
Chloe's proudest accomplishments were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with them and used every opportunity to tell stores, share recipes, and drinking wine. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren called her GG.
Chloe's favorite place was the beach, whether in Mexico or California. She enjoyed traveling, especially when those travels took her to see family and friends. Chloe lived a full life that impacted many.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Joe and Teddy, sister Marcia, husband Delbert and grandchildren Melissa and Bryan Jacobsen.
She is survived by her children: Paul(Nancy) Jacobsen, David Jacobsen, Ann(Chuck)Needham, Howie(Lainey)Jacobsen, John(Nuree) Jacobsen, and Karen(Blane)Fett and her grandchildren Brenda(Jasen)Holladay, Sherry(Dusty)Roed, Elizabeth(Christopher)Evans, Heather(Gabriel)Needham, Tabitha(Brenton)Condoll, Eric Jacobsen, Lauren(Andrew)Jacobsen, Sarah Jacobsen, Taylor Jacobsen, Camille Angeles-Castle, Dominic Jacobsen, Rachel(Isaac)Fett and Jacob Fett and 17 great-grandchildren along with her sister-in-law Barbara Jacobsen of Graettinger.
Her Celebration of Life will take place Oct. 24th, 2021 at Resthaven/Carr-Tenney, 4310 East Southern Avenue in Phoenix , AZ.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Hospice of the Valley Arizona.
