Thompson, Ernestine 92, a native of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. She was kind, smart, loving, and witty. She had a phenomenal memory and loved genealogy, history, politics, knitting, crocheting and family. In her professional life she worked as a secretary, bookkeeper, tax assistant, wrote bonds for the Jay C. Stuckey Insurance agency, and later became a legal secretary for the Board of Appeals for the State Land Department, from which she retired. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James B. Thompson. She is survived by her three children; daughter, Janet Croley; son, Jim Thompson and daughter, Connie Thompson-Morrell, 6 grand-children and 3 great-grandchildren. She left family and friends with many wonderful memories and an irreplaceable presence that will be dearly missed. We send her off with great love and peace. Visitation Services will be held on Sunday May 10, 2015 at Resthaven Park Mortuary, 4310 East Southern Avenue, from 5pm-8pm. Funeral Services will follow on Monday May 11, 2015 at 10am.
