Hard working and dearly loved, Eusebio Perez Jr. passed away in Phoenix, AZ, on the evening of Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at the age of 79. Affectionately known as Chevo, he was born in La Feria, Texas, on September 23, 1945.
Chevo and his family moved to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1959 where he met his wife, Consuelo Robles. They were blessed to share 58 years together and had 3 children. He retired after 30 years working for the City of Phoenix. He spent many years as a deacon serving Southern Baptist Temple as well as tending to the church's landscaping. Chevo spent many hours next to the radio and TV rooting for the Diamondbacks and Cardinals often while building his next project or fixing his truck.
Although a man of few words, Chevo was a man of action. His last project was a beautiful raised flower bed he built for his wife. It took weeks, with many breaks sitting in his wheelchair, but he got it done. He always followed through on his word. Chevo was a very devoted grandfather, often taking on the role of a father for many of his grandchildren, and always provided for his family.
Chevo was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and uncle. He is survived by his wife, Consuelo Robles Perez, and children Rachel Ann Perez and Stephen Eusebio Perez. He will also be lovingly remembered by his first grandchild Jeremy Perez as well as 6 more grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
God called Eusebio home to be reunited in eternity with his parents, Eusebio Perez Sr and Maria Bruno Perez, and his eldest daughter Esther Marie Perez.
Services will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens, 4310 E Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042.
