Florine Taylor was born on February 16, 1933. Her parents were Emmanuel and Ethel (Wilson) Tate in Okmulgee Oklahoma. Both her parents are deceased. Florine was their Third child. She fell asleep in death, peacefully on November 11, 2015.
Florine moved to phoenix Arizona in 1951 with her Father. She worked as a Cleaning Lady for many years. She enjoyed keeping things clean. This job helped to support her, and would in the future help to support her family. She married Ivan Taylor In the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (Old South Unit) in 1953 Phoenix Arizona. She had 8 children Charles, Ervin Mae, Freda, Ivan Jr., Tommy, Artise, Mary, and Ann.
She dedicated her life to Jehovah on May 28,1978 to do his will, and was baptized in water. This was one of her greatest joys. She tried to serve Jehovah as best as she could, and talk to others about all the things in the bible she knew, despite being very shy and a quiet person. She auxiliary pioneer when she could, devoting 60 hours in the Ministry talking to others regarding the bible and all it’s promises. She faced problems and she looked to Jehovah God, and his Word the bible, to help her, she believed strongly in the Kingdom as the real solution to any problem we face. Mom was never quick to speak badly of others; she always tried to see something good in her family and others.
She believed strongly in Family and maintaining the peace, it would pain her greatly when we failed to overlook the faults of others realizing no one is perfect. She always sought to be Merciful, and kind. Her desire for the whole family was to embrace the spirit of Ephesians 4:31-32, which says ”Put away from yourselves every kind of malicious bitterness, anger, wrath, screaming, and abusive speech as well as everything injurious. But become kind to one another, tenderly compassionate, freely forgiving one another just as God also by Christ freely forgave you.” She was always a peacemaker, and felt it was always a good thing to keep the peace and try to get along, and not say things that would hurt others. She enjoyed helping others, and acted unselfishly, doing what she could to be of help. She had a great love for her Family, and her fellow brothers and sisters who were Jehovah’s Witnesses. Sadly, her Husband Ivan Taylor, and her Eldest son Charles Taylor, and one of her Grandsons Jerome Young preceded her in death. Florine is survived, by three brothers, Lonnie Tate, Ronnie Tate, and Danny Tate. Seven of her children, many Grandchildren, and Great grand children, Sisters inlaw, brother in laws, nieces and nephew, and many Friends. Your Children and their Children will miss your smile, and will never forget your humor, kindness, patient and love for all of us. You were the best, and you never gave up hope on all of us. Thank you Mom. LOVE YOU MUCH! So says one, so say and all.
