Isabel G Trujillo

Isabel G. (Mckinn) Trujillo, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully into the hands of our Lord on Sunday morning, March 8, 2026. Isabel had a huge heart for those she loved, past and present. She had a personality, charisma, and charm about her to remember for a lifetime if you had the opportunity to truly know her. Many knew her by her nickname “Chia” while growing up.

She was devoted to our Lord Jesus Christ her entire life, even until the end. She was a wonderful, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and acquaintance to many throughout her life.

Isabel had a huge heart and generosity that overflowed. She loved long conversations, sharing advice, reading her collection of books over the many years, was a huge Elvis fan, and loved spending time and getting together with family.

She was born in Phoenix, AZ on August 6, 1947. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herlinda M. Bensor and Pete V. McKinn, as well as her siblings Lydia Munoz, Pete McKinn II, Emily Carapel, and Arthur “Wedo” McKinn.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years William A. Trujillo Sr. and her three children: Bernadette Trujillo Diaz (Gonzalo), William II (Martha), and Angelo Trujillo; grandsons include Jacob A. Trujillo and Christopher M. Somoza, great-grandson Mateo A. Trujillo; surviving siblings include Andrew McKinn, Mary McKinn Johnson, Cecilia Garcia (Jacob). Other close survivors include niece Cindy M. Price (Jason) and multitudes of nephews, nieces, cousins, in addition to many friends & acquaintances throughout the many years.

She attended Monroe Elementary school and Phoenix Union High School in downtown Phoenix, where she grew up. She devoted her life to her family and volunteer work with the Diocese of Phoenix and to her kids’ grade school and church throughout the many years.

Fly high and dance in heaven pain-free, Mom… so very much deserved. We will miss you dearly, but we will see you again one day. No goodbyes, but only see you soon.

All services will be held Friday, April 3, 2026 at: Resthaven / Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens, 4310 East Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042

Visitation/viewing will be held from 11:00am - 1:00pm, funeral service from 1pm - 2pm, and cemetery committal from 2pm - 2:30pm.
