

Ray was born on March 1st, 1952 in Oxnard, California and became a Phoenix resident for the remainder of his life. For 30 years, he worked as a certified forklift operator in a non-profit organization before retiring. He loved visiting family, attending the local Swap Meet, and taking trips in his truck to Concho, AZ.
He is survived by 11 brothers and sisters: Tom D. Garcia, Roy & Susie Garcia, James & Susan Garcia, Jesse & Alice Garcia, Ana Maria Rodriquez, Priscilla & Cecilio Rodriguez, Lydia Garcia, Gloria & Ruben Moreno, Polly Valdez, Lila Barela, and Sophie. He also leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas C. and Maria V. Garcia, as well as siblings Marcelo Moreno, Soila Naranjo, Pete Moreno, Henry Garcia, Frances Moita, and Lorraine Sanchez.
The visitation will be held at Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary, 4310 E. Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042, on Friday, October 20th, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the Rosary starting at 6:30 pm.
The funeral service will be held at the same location on Saturday, October 21st, 2017 at 11:00 am. He will then be laid to rest at St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008, following the service.
