

Rolando (Roland, Lando) Pineda Maldonado, age 79 of Laveen, Arizona died peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on October 22, 2023. Roland was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on May 24, 1944 to Anastacio and Aurora Maldonado. He was the 3rd oldest son of seven siblings. As a young teen, Roland dedicated his life to serving the Lord faithfully. His greatest joy was telling others about Jesus. He would say he did not regret giving his life to the Lord.
He is survived by his wife Irene of 54 years and sons Roland (Mariana), Abel and daughter Monica Maldonado-Baugh, grandchildren, Lennon and Cielo Baugh, Sophia and Cristobal Maldonado and great granddaughter Lucy Joy Baugh. Sisters Blandina Sandoval, Deborah and Brother Manuel Maldonado.
Roland was an Army Veteran who proudly served during the Vietnam Era. Roland went as an interpreter with “Youth with A Mission” to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, and El Salvador in South America. Interim Pastor in DeRidder, Louisiana and in Rupert Idaho.

Roland retired in 1999 as a United States Postal Service mail carrier after 30 years of service. Roland loved art since childhood, he pursued his love for Art an participated in art shows, did portraits, murals etc. He formed his own business with his artist name “Landoco Art”.
