Sylven Ray Fletcher was born in Kanesville, Utah on September 16, 1928 to Samuel and Leona Fletcher. He moved to Mesa in 1946 to join the family construction industry. Sylven joined the US Army in the New Mexico State Guard. He is survived by 7 children, 30 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren. Sylven passed away at his home in Tempe on May 29, 2014. A visitation will be held from 9-10 am followed by funeral service on Thursday June 5, 2014 at Resthaven Park Mortuary & Cemetery, 4310 East Southern Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona.
