Alejandro Castillo was born in Mexico City. His parents were Pascual Castillo and Rogelia Rivas. He came to the US as a young boy with his eldest brother Damian to pursue a better life and help his mother and sisters back in Mexico. First thoughts of him are of a no-nonsense, tough-minded person. He worked as a truck driver the majority of his life. He will be remembered as a hard-worker and being highly practical and realistic. Politically, dad claimed to be a Trump Supporter. We never found out if he was joking or not.
Through his journey in this life, he met his wife, Maria who he shared the last 21 years of his life with along with his step children Omar, Jaime, and Nelly, and grandkids Amiera, Hailey, Mollie, Gael, Francisco, Shiklaly, Cataleya, and Angelique.
Dad fought through end stage renal failure and unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19 the day before his passing, which complicated his existing health. He is survived by his children Rufino, Alex, Emmely, and Roger; his grandchildren Joseph, Kaitlyn, Elijah, Maverick, Nicholas, Hailey, and Tatiana. Dad will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, California at a later date.
Service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, Pico Rivera on February 10, 2021 from 1pm to 4pm to family only due to COVID restrictions.
