I am very sorry to hear of Ernie's passing. Ernie and I worked together in the old Pasadena office, and then again in the East District office. 

Ernie and I shared a love for comic books, and we both collected statues of our favorite heroes.  Two statues that I have in my showcase I bought from Ernie.  We loved talking about Marvel comics and all of the different characters. 

In my 32 years with the County, Ernie was one of the kindest people I worked with. Always friendly and helpful.  A true gentleman.  We were a better organization because Ernie worked here. He will be missed by everyone he worked with. 

My deepest condolences to his family members.
