April 28, 1939 – February 13, 2022
Fernando Sanchez entered eternal life on February 13, 2022. He joined his eldest son Fernando Sanchez Jr who sadly passed away in 2016.
Fernando or Fred as everyone called him was born in Mexico City to Tomas Sanchez and Josefina Argumosa Sanchez. He was the second oldest of seven siblings. Fred left Mexico at the age of 16 and eventually ended up in Chicago. After several years he left Chicago for California and began working at Weiser Lock Co. While at Weiser, he met the love of his life, Gloria (Herlinda). They married in 1976 and together raised their combined seven children.
Fred was a man that everyone loved and who always made a lasting impression. He was the biggest jokester. He loved to travel with his wife, especially to visit family in New Mexico. He loved classic cars and “giggle” juice and he loved music of all kinds. He loved to watch his grandchildren play sports or compete in dance competitions and always showed up wearing their team colors. His greatest pride and joy was watching all his children and grandchildren excel in life, whether it was graduating from high school, college, entering the air force, police department, or purchasing their first homes. He was always so proud of his family.
Fred will truly be missed. He was the best husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, and most loyal friend.
Fernando Sanchez is survived by his loving wife, Gloria (Herlinda) Sanchez and his children and their spouses: Edward Sanchez, Joseph and Wendy Sanchez, Gilbert and Lisa Reyes, Ernest and Maria Reyes, Kathy and John Trotman, and Jerry and Amber Reyes. Grandchildren: Raymond Reyes, Vanessa Reyes and Vincent Martinez, Cassondra and Trevor Pauling, Desiree and Kenny Castaneda, Alicia and Adrian Ybarra, Stephanie Beltran and Jacob Powers, Ernest Reyes, Richard Tassanari and Alexis Gray, Priscilla and Luis Carlos Hernandez, Alex Reyes, Branden Reyes, Aaron Reyes, and Ava Reyes.
