With deep respect, we remember the life of Josefina Lopez Figueroa, born on October 26, 1932, and who passed away on October 6, 2026, at the age of 93. Josefina was a dearly loved woman whose presence left a lasting mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Throughout her life, Josefina showed a quiet strength and admirable resilience. With courage, she left a small town to move to Guadalajara, with the purpose of helping bring her mother and her family to the big city. Later, driven by the desire to forge new paths and improve the lives of her loved ones, she emigrated to the United States in search of a more dignified future filled with opportunities. In every step, her determination, fighting spirit, and the inspiration she knew how to pass on by example were reflected.

Josefina will also be remembered for her joy and warmth. She had a sense of humor that lightened the days and a natural way of connecting with others. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, and attending parties; she was, in every sense of the word, a social butterfly, able to turn any gathering into a special moment and to make those around her feel welcome.

Josefina lived in Pico Rivera, California, where her memory will remain alive in the love of her family, friends, and community.
