Mercy as we all knew her, grew up in Pico Rivera, she lived there all her life in our childhood home.
She worked in the auto finance industry as accounting manager for over 20 years.
She leaves behind her siblings, Gracie, Blanca, Rosa, Frank & Maricela. We were six and now our link has been broken along with our hearts.
She also leaves behind her in laws, Miguel, Ruben, Claudette & Phillip.
Numerous nieces & nephews, grand nieces & grand nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins.
She never had any children, but she treated her nieces & nephews as her own children. Planning birthday parties, she always made sure there was a cake at birthday parties. She was the official “Cake Auntie” no cake then it’s not a birthday party is what she would say.
Her favorite holidays were her birthday, Thanksgiving & Christmas in that order. Loved her novelas and of course her cooking shows.
She was a giving, caring person always happy to see you. She was a brave woman, she endured 10 years of cancer treatment. If one treatment wasn’t working, she was willing and ready to try the next. Never once did she doubt God’s will. She accepted whatever was sent to her like a champ. We called her our walking miracle. She left a big void in our hearts but she will always remain in our hearts & memories of her that can never be taken from us.
