

Calvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. After working several years for Settoon's Construction as a pipefitter, Calvin retired. Calvin had a passion for his family, music, especially his guitar, fishing, hunting and going to the camp.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of sixty one years, Rita Torrez Leonard; two son, Scott Medine (Sherrell) and Marty Leonard; five grandchildren, Alaina Leonard who was the apple of his eyes, Miranda Leonard, Travis Leonard, Jaxson Leonard and Allen Leonard; five great grandchildren; four siblings, Charles Leonard (Clara), Dorothy Legendre, Catherine Hotard and Carrie Smith (Mike) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his son, Calvin Leonard Jr.; parents, Allen and Tollie Mae Leonard; three siblings, Willie "Bill" Leonard, Mary Jane Boudreaux and Deanna Landry; one nephew, Ernest Boudreaux Jr. and one niece, Sue Anna Blanchard.
Pallbearers will be: Scott Medine, Charles Leonard, Lawerence Domingue, Harry Glynn, Lane Leonard and Lance Leonard.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge, the hospice care unit, Fr. Al Davidson and his family and friends for being by his side throughout his time of need.
A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA, on Monday, August 19, 2024 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at 11am. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum.
