

Carol Paul Richard, Sr. a native of Little Grand Bayou and a resident of Pierre Part passed away Wednesday January 8, 2014 at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City. He was 71. He was a retired welder having retired from the Local #198. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, and the Ascension Masonic Lodge # 251 F.& A.M. in Donaldsonville.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday January 10, 2014 and Saturday January 11, 2014 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday January 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church with Rev. Chris Decker, celebrant. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum, Belle River, under the direction of Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part.
Survivors include; wife Regina Settoon Richard, 2 daughters: Gwendolyn Marie Richard Courville and husband Larry, Chasity Lyn Richard, son: Carol Paul Richard Jr. and wife Christie, sisters: Florence Landry, and Ann Eve Guillot
7 grandchildren; Aaron and Austin Courville, Jordyn and Chandler Richard, Ryleigh, Ryder and Madox Gaudet
great grandchild: Kaley Courville
He was preceded in death by his mother: Cecile Rivere Richard, father: Dalbert Richard, his step-father; Joseph “Poppa Toon” Dupuy, brothers: Nolan, Lester, Gerald, and Golen Richard
Pallbearers - Aaron Courville, Austin Courville, Chandler Richard, Patrick Guillot, Eric Falcon, Nelson Blanchard, Cafrey Richard, and Ferryl Richard
