Darlene "Dolly" Sedotal Gaspard

Darlene “Dolly” Sedotal Gaspard passed away on March 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. This year would have marked her 16th year of cancer treatment—a testament to her strength, courage, and fighting spirit. She will forever be remembered for the resilience she carried with grace.

Dolly loved being outdoors and found joy in living on Belle River. She cherished watching the birds, working puzzles, going out to eat, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness.

She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Marino (Dave); her two grandchildren, Ayden and Kynlee Marino; her sisters, Cynthia Blanchard and Clarice Dupree; and her brother, Bryan Sedotal. She is also survived by her nieces Nicole King, Gretta Theriot, Helena Salmon, Brittany Landry, Lori Leonard, and Trudy Domingue; her nephews Jeb Sedotal, Tommy Blanchard, and Chet Gaspard; her godchild Hilary Breaux; and her sister-in-law Debra Gaspard.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Grady Gaspard; her parents, Alton and Flavia Sedotal; her nephew, Kip Dupree; her in laws, Chester and Flavia Gaspard and her two brothers-in-law, Horace Gaspard and Florise "Butch" Dupree.

Dolly will be remembered for her strength and the love she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who have had the privilege of knowing her.

Pallbearers will be Ayden Marino, Kolby Boudreaux, Donald Aucoin, Dave Haynes, Tracy Aucoin, and Russell Himel.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to lifelong friend Lacey Breaux, and to Jennifer with Hope Hospice, for their loving care and compassion during Dolly’s final days.

A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA, on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 8:30am until Mass of Christina Burail at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at 11am. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Belle River, LA.
