Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. A gentle and selfless man, he always put others before himself. His family meant everything to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Dave worked proudly as a pipefitter and welder for Local 198. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—family gatherings, being outdoors, fishing, crawfishing, hunting, and tending to his garden.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his high school sweetheart whom he was married to for fifty-two years, Tilsey Freyou Daigle; two children, and Dave Daigle Jr. (Lynn) and Trish D. Templet (Shawn); three grandchildren, Dayne Templet, Collin Templet and Everlie Daigle; his brother, James Daigle (Katheline); sister-in-law, Janelle Daigle and special baby girl, Jolie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse and Gertie Daigle and his two siblings, Joyce Clement and Ronnie Daigle.
Pallbearers will be Dave Daigle Jr., Dayne Templet, Collin Templet, Kaiden Lacoste, Shawn Templet, Chad Daigle, Jake Daigle and Gerald Fryou. Honorary pallbearers will be James Daigle, Huey Clement and Dusty Leonard.
The family would like to thank Dr. Charles Bolotte and Morgan City Dialysis for their care and support throughout their time of need.
A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA, on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at 12pm. Interment to follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleume in Belle River, LA.
