Donald Joseph Leonard

Donald J. Leonard, 62, died on Monday, September 23, 2013. He was a Vietnam Era United States Marine Corps Vet. He graduated from West Jeff High School and attended Nicholls State University. Donald retired from AT&T after 35 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Charlotte D. Leonard; two daughters, Krissy Roberts and husband Robert, and Teresa Leonard; one son, Robert Leonard and wife Karen; six grandchildren, Amanda, Robert, Matthew, Donald James, Tyler, and Kayla; parents, Elie and Bessie Leonard, and Anna Louise Leonard; siblings, Ronald Leonard, Marlene Cedotal, Benny and David Sanchez; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Edward Clement and Aureline and Medric Gaudet; paternal grandparents, Loraine and Emile Leonard; and step-brother, Charles Sanchez.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part. Entombment to follow in church mausoleum.
