Farrell "Snapper" James Richard, native of Paincourtville and resident of Pierre Part, passed away at his home unexpectedly on Saturday, January 13, 2018. He was 62. Farrell loved his children and grandchildren immensely. He had a passion for playing music and he could always be counted on to tell you a good joke and had a way of making you laugh. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Farrell is survived by his mother, Della Richard; children, April Dang and husband, Sau, Lester Richard, Farrell Richard, Jr., Shawn Lirette and wife Gwen, and Renee Landry; soul mate and love of his life, Becky Landry; son in law,; sisters, Terry Triche, Vicky Leonard, and Nadine Shrivers; grandchildren, Journee Dang, Davyn Richard, Trynity Richard, Raven Lirette, Olen Lirette, and Neil and Andon Dupre; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Richard and a daughter Chantell Lirette. Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 5 pm to 9pm and will resume on Wednesday from 9 am until funeral services at 11 am with Pastor Ronnie Mabile officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date.
