Junius Pierre Leonard

He was a volunteer of the Pierre Part Fire Department and an ununiformed commissioned deputy who will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

He is survived by his three daughters, Christina Leonard Lawrence, Noeline Rivere and Darnell Leonard; three sons, Julius Pierre Leonard, Jamie Leonard (Allyson), and Kevin Leonard (Trista); sisters, Sarah Mae Leonard Gaudet, Susan Leonard, and Dolores Leonard Berthelot; four brothers, Louis Leonard (Virginia), Brian Leonard (Lori), Rene Leonard, Jr., and Randy Leonard (Sandy); sisters-in-laws, Darlene Leonard, and Penny Leonard; daughter-in-law, Rachel Leonard; thirteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace Elizabeth Gauthreaux Leonard and Rene Leonard Sr.; son; Darrow Leonard; two brothers, Jerry Leonard and Robert "Bobby" Leonard; and brother-in-laws, Gustave "Joe" Gaudet and Mike Berthelot.

The pallbearers will be Toby Gaudet, Rene Leonard Jr., Jose Leal Jr., Sullivan Gaudet, Brian Leonard, Tyler Cavalier, Mike Matherne and Randy Leonard.

The honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie Cavalier, Jamie Leonard, Kevin Leonard, and Wallace “Joe Joe” Williams.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 9:00 am until the funeral services at 11:00 am at Pierre Part Christian Church in Pierre Part. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Belle River. Pastor Gerald Daigle will officiate.
