

Morris was a sugar cane farmer for 62 years. He was an active member in several organizations in his community. A past President and board member of Assumption Parish Farm Bureau and past state board member of Louisiana State Farm Bureau. He was also a member of Glenwood Co-op, American Sugarcane League, and Knights of Columbus Council 1099 in Napoleonville. A 1959 graduate of Assumption High School, he was the first Assumption Parish Future Farmers of America member to receive his American Farmer Degree.
Morris is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margie Breaux Crochet; one son, Todd Crochet (Connie); two daughters, Paige Crochet Currie (Howard) and Rhea Crochet Borne (Byron); four grandchildren, Grant Crochet (Paige), Dina Crochet (Kevin), Mindy Talbot (Skyler), Nick Borne, and Chance Borne; three great grandchildren, Marie and Kohen Talbot and Case Crochet; seven siblings, Thelma Templet, Ray Crochet (Bessie), Aimee Marks (Henry), Agnes Daigle, Harold Crochet, Patricia Mantell (Frank), and Charles Crochet (Charlotte); two brothers-in-law, Morris Mabile and Chris Breaux (Kathy); one sister-in-law, Iris Comeaux (Roger) and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, baby Dina Crochet; parents, Paul and Nellie B. Crochet; one brother, Laurie Crochet; one sister, Anaise Mabile; two brothers-in-law, Nicesse Templet and Harding Daigle; two sisters-in-law, Lou Crochet and Violet Crochet.
Pallbearers will be: Chris Breaux, Howard Currie, Byron Borne, Grant Crochet, Nick Borne, Chance Borne, and Kevin Chanove.
The family would like to thank everyone who has extended their condolences.
