A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Peter Cheatwood Cooke, 77, a native of Chicago, IL and resident of Pierre Part, passed away on Monday, December, 27, 2016. Peter was a master craftsman who loved working on different machines and inventing new things. He also had a passion for reading, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife Linda Palmer Cooke; two daughters, Rebecca Lynn DeHart and husband, Rick and June Moore and husband, Jeff; three grandchildren, Katherine DeHart, Julia McAloon and William Beltran; two sisters, Stephanie White and Johanna Elliott. He is preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Jewel Cheatwood Cooke. A memorial service will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA on Saturday, January 14, 2016 from 2pm until 5pm.
