Rita Ann Blanchard

Rita Faye Ann Blanchard, a native and lifetime resident of Pierre Part, was called to her heavenly home on 17 Dec., 2020 at 4:40 A.M. At the age of 64 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born 19 Jan 1956 in Paincourtville, Louisiana. She enjoyed spending time with her son Jeremy and her two grandchildren, Jax and Myles. Rita Faye is survived by her mother Ann Blanchard, brothers Lindsey and wife Susan Litton, Horace and wife Dinah Miller, Wayne and wife Doreen Breaux, Dale and wife Pam Guillot, Benson and wife Patricia Cedotal, Floyd and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Floyd Blanchard and a brother Peter and by a nephew Brett Blanchard. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part at 10:00 AM on Monday the 28th of December 2020. Interment will follow at Belle River Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Guests are required to wear mask upon entry of the church.

We are very sorry to hear of Rita's passing. Rita and I were good friends in high school and shared lots of laughs together. Our thoughts and prayers will be with each and everyone of you. May God comfort all of you in the days ahead.

I have alot of great memories with you that I will always remember. I know you loved your son and the grandkids more then anything. They will always remember the love you gave them. Gone to soon but you will never be forgotten.

So sorry to hear about Rita. She was a sweet but shy person who loved her son so much. She raised a fine young man. She was very proud of him. She will be missed by all of her family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was happy to see her a couple of weeks ago.
Now she is reunited with some of her love ones that have went before her.
She will be missed by all her family, especially her son Jeremy, grandsons and her mom and all her brothers band their families.
