Whitney Paul Blanchard Sr.

Whitney Paul Blanchard, Sr., 66, loving and devoted husband and father, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2013. He was a native of Pierre Part and resident of Belle River. He is survived by his children; daughter, Mary Blanchard and special friend Heath Zeringue; sons, Whitney Jr. and wife Toni Blanchard, Shawn and wife Angelle Blanchard, John Blanchard and special friend Jemma Hue, Timmy Medine and wife Crystal; ten grandchildren, Tori, Haley, Caleb, Gage, Alexis, Austin, John Jr., Taylor, Alana, and Anthony; four brothers, Howard, Thomas, Russell, and Lonnie Blanchard; two sisters, Linda Boudreaux and Clara Clement; mother-in-law, Marie Medine; sisters-in-law, Janice White and Judy Lear; brother-in-law, Johnny Medine; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Julia Medine Blanchard; parents, Savilien and Martha Blanchard; three sisters, Hilda Daigle, Elaine Schaff, and Isabelle Blanchard; six brothers, Robert, Davis, Wilton, Maurice, Ned, and Anthony Blanchard; father-in-law, Cleveland Medine Sr.; and brother-in-law, Cleveland Medine Jr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will be held at a later date at Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Belle River.
