Hi, my name is Rose I'm all the way in Guyana South America and I saw on the news the other day where Andrew's parents were fighting for justice. From the pictures that they showed with Andrew he seemed like a very loving son, brother and friend. My heart breaks to know that he's not here anymore but I would like the Coffey family to know that I will remember them in prayer. 

To Andrew's family, I've just read Andrew's story on MSN and went searching for a way to express my condolences to you.  I feel so honored to have found the beautiful video that I just watched of Andrew and his wonderful childhood years growing up with his family and friends on the water.  I was truly touched and cried my way through most of it for different reasons I guess.  Lots of happiness at the joyous photos and the memories you must have.  Thoughts of my little grandsons and hoping to see them grow into young men and the idea of never knowing just what one can ever expect.  I lost a little brother at the age of eight many, many years ago and it's still painful to me today.  I saw many pictures of Andrew at the wonderful, crazy, fun, boy-age in your video that made me really smile!  I wish we'd had more cameras and video back then!  Andrew was obviously a really healthy, active, fun- loving, affectionate, goofy,  happy boy and how wonderful that you have so much of it on record to look at over and over again.  The pictures of him and his beautiful sister are so especially dear and must mean so much to her.  And the love in mom and dad's eyes.........priceless.  What a handsome young man he became.  He looked good in and out of a suit!  He looks like he was probably as especially nice as a person as he looks on paper:)  What a smile.  So, these are impressions from a total stranger, but deep, heartfelt feelings and support in your serious efforts to make a difference in the craziness that exists in a world that needs to have more compassion for our brothers and sisters.  To Andrew's family, my heart breaks for you and I hope that you will find strength in the other families that you have gotten to know and also in knowing that there are outsiders who are reading and paying attention to the things that matter to you now.  Someday forgiveness in your heart may help you, but it must be a difficult thing.  Blessings.

Tom, Sandy and Ali - it was a beautiful service today. We hope you found some comfort from the stories shared today of how Andrew touched so many lives in so many wonderful ways. He was truly special. We enjoyed our time with him during swim seasons and  the good times traveling to meets, as well as his special friendship with Hannah. Dear Coffey Family, Although we do not know each other, I have not been not been able to stop thinking about you and this unimaginable and unneccessary loss of your beautiful boy.  My son is also 20 and in a fraternity at a different school.  He told us about this and was upset about the circumstances and wanted us to know that this sort of climate doesn't exist everywhere.  He was glad to know, as we are, that activities have been indefinitely suspended.  That aside, looking at the pictures was like looking at ours.  Today will be a day to pay tribute to a life that was cut too short.  I will be thinking of you all and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.  May your son continue to live on in your hearts and may his legacy leave a lasting ripple effect.

There are no words to help ease the unimaginable pain you are enduring with Andrew's passing and yet there are so many words to describe how Dewy touched our lives - his amazing smile, humor and positive spirit lit up our house every time he came over and we were so blessed to have known him.  We truly loved him like he was another one of our sons and he will forever be deeply missed.  Dewy was a genuine, supportive and honest friend to Tommy and they were truly brothers.  He was, is and always will be Tommy's best friend. We will continue to celebrate Dewy's life by keeping fond memories of him  alive in our hearts and never, ever forgetting the beautiful soul that he was to us and to everyone who had the gift of knowing him.      Where does one start to express the grief and sorrow we all share with you, and the loss of Andrew. 
Kim, Justin, Jessica,  and I have been deeply affected by Andrews death. It was just a few weeks ago Andrew passed by waving, and Justin talking to him up in Deerfield, with all there mutual friends. Justin remembers all the fun they had after school, and hanging out in the trampoline. There just is no way to put into words the sorrow we feel, and are praying for your family daily, asking for Him to give you comfort and understanding.

Andrew helped make some of my years at Pompano Beach High School the best, he was in JROTC with me and was always being happy and extremely friendly. His smile would light up the whole room. My heart goes to Andrew's family, the loss of a loved one is a wound that will never fully heal. I was no friend of Andrew but mutual friends were glad to have known him. It was a truly great loss.

Although we have never met, nor did I personally know Andrew, our families are connected and so distraught over the loss of your son!!  My son was his pledge brother and spent everyday with him over the last two months.  He has told us what an amazing young man you had raised and what a respectful, kind person he was and how deeply he has been impacted Dewy's passing.
