

Holly Bussian Anderson passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 5, 2021 following a yearlong battle with cancer. Holly's grace and courage in fighting her illness inspired all who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Timothy Anderson; children Lindsay, Patrick, Mason and their partners Matthew Swanson, Kyle Anderson-Higgins and Evyn Moon; granddaughters Peyton Louise and Parker Wylie Swanson; loving siblings: brothers John and Stuart Bussian, sister Robin Eynon, her partner Skip, brothers-in-law Rick Anderson, Doug Anderson, their partners Sha and Mary, sisters-in-law Kathy Campbell and Beth Schunk, and numerous nieces and nephews. Holly was predeceased by her parents, Joyce and John Bussian, and sister-in-law Suzanne Bussian.
Holly was born in Kenilworth, IL on October 20, 1959 before her family was relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1963. She graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School in 1977 and attended the University of Florida in Gainesville where she was a loving sister in the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, and where she met her husband to be. Holly received her bachelor's degree in journalism upon graduating in 1981. She worked at the Hartford Insurance Company prior to devoting her time to building an extraordinary family.
Holly and Tim raised their family in Lighthouse Point, FL. Holly was a member of St. Paul the Apostle and St. Gabriel’s Catholic Churches, where she dedicated her time to numerous charitable causes at each. Holly’s family was the highest priority of her life, and she placed great emphasis on learning, respect and treating one another with kindness. She was an avid world traveler and could often be found planning the next great family adventure.
Throughout her life, Holly’s grace, dignity, love, kindness, and considerate ways endeared her to family, friends and anyone who was fortunate enough to cross her path. Her special bond with her husband and partner, Tim, continues to inspire all who have known them.
Holly's family wishes to thank the countless people who helped her wage battle against cancer. In particular, they offer gratitude to Dr. Jane Skelton, Dr. Rasmi Benda, Dr. Patti Jacobs, Priscilla Lawrence and Paige Acham at the Lynne Cancer Institute who ensured that Holly joined the angels peacefully. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Holly’s Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Lighthouse Point, FL.
