James R. Bauer

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Bauer, who left us peacefully at the age of 89 on February 6, 2026, after a brief illness. Jim was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend whose life touched so many with his kindness, humor, and unwavering love.

Born on July 25, 1936, in Pittsburgh, PA, Jim was a devoted father to three children: Patti Gomez, Chip Bauer, and Robin Bauer, three step-children: Sue Liebhart, Mark Stultz and Joanne Dauer. He was a proud grandfather to thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Jim loved his family, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

In addition to his love for family, Jim was an avid golfer and bowler, a skilled woodworker, and a dog lover.

Jim is survived by the love of his life, Pat Watkins, his children, his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis Bauer, step-son Mark Stultz, parents Norbert Bauer and Eleanor Heineman, and his six brothers and sisters.

Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, generosity, and laughter will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
