When you remember Karen, you remember her sparkling personality, and friendly smile. She loved life, and loved people. Karen would light up any room.. She loved people and was truly loved by her family and by all of her friends and clients. Karen was born into a family who knew they were so blessed by her presence. This blond haired blue eyed girl was such a welcome addition to the Jones family. She was so lovable and so loved. Because of her sweet nature, everyone in the family called her "Karen Honey." On the first day she attended school, the teacher asked her full name and she replied, "Karen Honey." The teacher insisted and Karen kept saying. "Karen Honey." It was quite a surprise to her to learn that her name was really Karen Jones. To the day her father passed away - he called her Karen Honey. We all remember her as Karen Honey. Her father was the one who chose the name "Darice" for her middle name. No one else had ever heard this name, but he had read a book about a very brave little girl name Darice. This was appropriate for Karen's middle name. Karen had a wide and diverse array of talents. She and her father were very close, and she would follow him everywhere he went. He taught her how to repair everything from cars to boats to television sets, and on and on. When anything was broken at the office, Karen would be the one we depended on to repair it. She could take a television apart, and put in back together again. Karen learned accounting from her mother, and excelled at it with a combination of plain old common sense and intelligence. Her bubbly personality was also appreciated by our clients who really enjoyed speaking with her. She enjoyed it as well. In fact she preferred to answer the phones even in the busiest of times. Also, Karen was a great cook. She would spend her weekends cooking. She would bring in luscious meals to be enjoyed at lunchtime. She was always concerned about her mother getting something to eat at night. Therefore, Karen would prepare dinner for her mother before she left the office. Karen truly loved life. She did not want to leave us so soon, and fought valiantly to live. Unfortunately, her lungs had been so ravaged by pneumonia and then other infections that her little body could no longer continue functioning. We truly miss our beloved Karen, but we know that God must be smiling now that Karen is home with Him.
