

Lillian Helen Gerard (née Johnson), age 97, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, in Coconut Creek, Florida. Born on April 1, 1928, in Amherst, Massachusetts, Lillian lived a long and meaningful life marked by devotion to family and a steadfast work ethic.
Throughout her life, Lillian stood faithfully beside her husband, John Gerard, who she married on August 15, 1945 in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, as they built and operated furniture factories across New England and Florida. Their shared dedication to their business was a testament to their partnership and perseverance. Together, they contributed to the communities they served through their industrious spirit and commitment to craftsmanship.
Lillian's legacy is deeply rooted in the family she nurtured. She was the devoted mother of John (Alicia), Dennis (Kathy), David, Tim, Linda Lorion, and Judy Lefrancois. Her role as a grandmother brought her immense pride and joy. She leaves behind cherished memories with her grandchildren: Paul (Kristina) Gerard, Jade Gerard, Cheri Lorion-Meny, Bruce (Debora) Lorion, Michelle Lane, Elizabeth (Steven) Garrison, Christopher Gerard, Dana (Dorian) Lefrancois, Kelly Youngblood, Kevin Gerard, Sean Gerard, and Katie (Tim) Serrano. Her love extended further to her 18 great-grandchildren who carry forward her enduring spirit.
Lillian was predeceased by many loved ones who shaped her early life and shared in her journey: her husband John Gerard; her daughter Linda Lorion; her parents Anna Kondrut and Joseph Johnson; her sisters Lucy Thompson, Amelia Bialabrzewski, Sophie Vladyka, and Ann Labor Fann; and her brothers Joseph Johnson, John "Dusty" Johnson, and James Johnson.
Among the many joys in Lillian's life was her affection for cats. Her gentle care for them reflected the warmth she offered so freely to those around her.
