Barbara Ann Bertrand

Barbara Ann Bertrand, 73, of Port Acres passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, in Nederland Texas. Barbara was born October 27, 1938, in Port Arthur, to the late Whitney and Mildred Hollier. Barbara could best be described by her family as a loving mother, devoted wife and proud grandmother. She loved traveling, watching her favorite soap operas, and spending time with her grandchildren. Barbara was an avid reader, a very social person who had many friends, and a genuinely good hearted individual.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; son, Craig Allen Bertrand and her husband of over 51 years, Wilson Bertrand, who was the love of her life.

Barbara is survived by her son, Eric Bertrand of Port Acres; daughters, Pamela Benoit and her husband Aray, Sr. of Overton; Angela Terrell and her husband Ronnie of Bridge City; grandchildren, Derrick Bertrand of San Antonio; Nikki Benoit of Overton; Brandi Mburugu and her husband Ronny of Lake Port; Alicia Bourgeois and her husband Paul of Port Acres; Jessica Terrell of Bridge City; Aray Benoit , Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Overton; Cory Terrell of Bridge City; Chase Bertrand and Brittain Bertrand of Groves; and 5 great grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Grammier – Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at Grammier- Oberle Funeral Home with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
