

Dorothy Ann Graffio, 80, of Port Arthur, passed away, Friday, November 11, 2016. Ann, as she was known to her Family and friends was survived by her husband of 54 years, Vic Graffio of Port Arthur; daughter Rhea Melancon (Tony Trahan) of Port Arthur; her son, Danny Cross (Darri) of Austin; two grandsons, Shawn Melancon and Ari Paskell: two granddaughters, Sabre Portie (Jason) and Amber Pinkard; four grandchildren, Taylor, Laci, Noelle and Braden; two sisters, Kaye Floyd of Barnardsville, North Carolina and Tommie Dillingham of Atlanta, Georgia; and her extended family, James and Martha Cross, Rhona Moore and her son Will.
Ann was born in Barnardsville, NC and moved to Texas to pursue her education. She was employed with Southwestern Bell, retiring after 25 years of service to help raise her grandchildren. Ann will be remembered for her fierce personality, her giving spirit and undying love for her family and friends. She was always there to give a helping hand or offering of opinion at all hours of the day or night. She could always be found at home drinking coffee or working her puzzles. She, also, enjoyed being Andy Derese’s other mother.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 14, 2016, from 12 noon until 2:00 pm at Grammier Oberle Funeral Home, 3841 39th Street, Port Arthur. A Celebration of the Life of Ann will begin at 2:00 Monday in the Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
